Masai influence

I sit at my dining room table everyday and stare at my wall where I have 2 beautiful Masai jewellery items hanging on the wall.  The bold triangular and circular patterns as well as the (supposedly) clashing colours never cease to inspire me.  I also have a wonderful bright red shuka over my bed - a traditional masai blanket. And a massive collection of the soft multi-coloured and patterns Kangas.  I'm not quite brave enough to use these bold primary colours but the designs continue to make my mind tick.

I bought my Masai jewellery just outside Amboseli National Park when I was still travelling a lot in Africa for work.   We stayed at a tented camp called 'Amboseli Porini' which is part of the Porini Camps Group - a firm favourite of mine if you are going on safari in Kenya.
