Agate necklaces

I've always been a fan of agate slices especially the mad colours.  So I got some and put them on chains (nickel and silver plated - nothing fancy) and they hang quite long on one.

Milnerton Fleamarket - bits and bobs

Look at that pattern - and it's still looking for a good home...  I have a strict R20 limit on any item at the market otherwise I would go home with everything.

Claire's magazine holder from a previous trip complemented the 'tampoezen' (that means instant custard slice) perfectly that we had for tea.

Other finds included a very odd looking Bambi, an original silver bracelet from 1950 made by Simba Africa Handmade, a weird piece of plastic with a reindeer and forest relief that reminded me of a Rob Roy paper cutting, a flying springbuck pin, a fantastic old book with an embossed cover and 2 animal books.

Some jewellery bits

Rather sweet - will be for sale at the Bijou night market tonight in Observatory. The heart and the locket are silver but the others are not.  Prices start at R80.

Peacocks for the penguins and a few extra just because

Treated myself to 4 new necklaces at Mr Price for the ridiculous sum of R100 in total.  The peacocks will be worn for the penguins tomorrow at the Simonstown Wedding.  Love the blog too http://www.inthefashionloop.com/

Thank you China - sorry local industry

New critters

Purchased these from Church Street Antiques market today

The Reindeer is mother of Pearl.  Bambi is a solid silver pin and from the 1930's and that magical little seahorse is carved from bone and probably from the 50's.
