DRESS LIKE YOU LIVE: KEY LEAF RESORT WEAR

Looking to pack some resort wear you won't see coming and going this summer? Tucked behind Worth Avenue in Palm Beach Florida in a Via sits an all white arctic blast of a store, Key Leaf. The Via Amore shop may be airy and white, but it serves as the perfect backdrop for the brightly printed warm weather clothing that tempts from the racks within. The silk, chiffon and georgette printed resort clothing and bathing suit collection changes seasonally by theme. The concept of sister duo Adriana and Claudia Chaparro Pignalosa, the print collection shifts seasonally according to the inspiration they find in nature.  2012 is all about insects, and past collections have been ignited by a passion for birds and exotic fruits. By varying the all-over prints and playing with scale, the lively patterns are inventive and interesting with a kick of color.
The fashionable pair earned their design chops at Central Saint Martins in London and Cordwainers College, and collectively worked for Prada and Vuitton.  From there, the Columbian-Italian sisters set out to create a wearable collection for warm weather living full of joie de vivre, flirtiness and sophistication. I think they have achieved it. I first saw their designs when mom picked my up in the airport wearing a wonderful printed silk day dress with fleeting butterflies and a ribbon-edged cap sleeve. Their collection is available through their Palm Beach shop and also through their shopping site here. The perfect clothing to wear when the mercury rises.

Sunny colors and prints will lure you off Via Amore to see what blooms inside.

A PERFECT PAIRING: STYLISH SANDALS FROM JACK ROGERS WITH QUADRILLE

It's safe to say that between us, my sister and I have over 30 pairs of Jack Rogers Navajo Sandals. We adore them, and have ever since we got our first pair of Navajo's back in 1978. They were called Palm Beach Sandals and came from Kornhausers, a small shoe maker on Royal Poinciana Way in Palm Beach. You would go in, Pepe would measure your foot, and each year you would come back and he would add an extension so they fit you as you grew. There were a few other small cobblers that made them in and around Palm Beach, and Jack Rogers was founded in 1960. Their bright, preppy color combinations and signature whipstitch detailing have amassed a fiercely loyal following the world over.  The Navajo has evolved and grown, and with Jack Rogers purchase a few years ago, you may have noticed an expanded assortment.  Their creative director, Lauren DuPont, helped revitalize the brand and expand its reach, with a Madison Avenue flagship and many new iterations.  The evolution continues, and the latest amalgamation includes a genius collaboration with a natural partner, fabric maker Quadrille. What  a perfect pairing! The preppy prints combined with  contrast detailing are just what they should be-- festive and femme.
Get yourself a pair or two and grow your Jack Rogers wardrobe just in time for summer.  They are available early June on Jack Rogers.
