ONE TO WATCH IN BOSTON: LIZ CAAN INTERIORS

Designer Liz Caan in Newton, Mass.

Striped awnings with a scallop edge, trimmed boxwoods and big windows beckon on a charming country street corner. Liz Caan Interiors is a gem of a store in the leafy Boston suburb of Newton, Massachusetts. Offering interior design services and shopping, Caan has filled her suburban store with bright accessories, modern accents, artwork, upholstery,  and lighting with color aplenty.  The all-white space has a fresh vibe, and the addition of exuberant accents makes gift giving and decorating with a final layer of color a snap. I have been wanting to cover her great shop for awhile, so when she sent over these new photos I knew the time had come!

Colorful accessories on etageres mix with lanterns, patterned pillows and painted accessories

A quiet spot in the window with an Indian inlay chair and pops of charteuse

Wonderful pops of color mix in accessories for every room

A Cole and Sons lattice wallpaper on a wall adds pattern to the mix

Seen from another angle, the place is packed with things to make a home more fun

This is the all white work area where Caan and her design staff work away

Black biz cards with gold writing add a glam touch

Need entertaining essentials? Look no further

From animal prints to geos crisp accessories dot the interior

Add an element of quirk with hat pendant lights

A gilt chair and bone side table in the window

Liz Caan Interiors combine of the moment color schemes with bold patterns in crisp and fresh spaces:
A sitting room in a stables is sophisticated yet cozy

A bedroom with dark wood paneling is softened by light upholstery, modern accessories and pattern

A living room in blue and eggplant with a graphic geo rug and large scale photography on the wall

A bright ikat carpet sets the color scheme in an entryway

With grey cabinetry and a white marble-topped aqua island, the kitchen is light and airy

A black and white striped mud room makes what can be a messy cluttered place bright and welcoming
