Walking the Gift Show over the past few days, I am still seeing the influence of early American antiques and aged finishes. From spindle details to the way artwork and accessories are painted, the feel is Americana. Companies are looking to the past to move forward. The aged aspect is comforting and easy, and the pieces integrate well with many antiques because they then look like they have been there forever. This is one of many trends I saw at the show, stay tuned for more soon!
